Our LIVE Podcast Broadcasts

It was a little over a month ago that we launched our podcast (The Melanated Files) and we’ve already begun the evolution process. The format has changed from being a discussion between a host and co-host to a LIVE broadcast, that will see viewers calling in to give their take on effective solutions to the social maladies that ails us. The change came into effect in our most recent podcast release - episode four. And it wasn't merely for the sake of change, but for the sake of efficacy. 

The goal of the podcast is to be a place where solution driven discussions on the black experience can be had. And we believe that if we are going to effectively do this, we are going to need a thousand minds to get the job done. So, every Saturday morning at 10 a.m. (JST) we will be streaming LIVE on our Black Experience Japan’s YouTube channel where we give viewers the opportunity to call in and dialogue with us.

Episode four wasn’t smooth sailing as we had many kinks to work out as a LIVE podcast takes a lot more work and effort than a traditional podcast. Nonetheless, we worked out most of those kinks and are now excited for the future.

In addition to viewers that call in, we will have handpicked guests who will come on the show and offer their take on various issues.
