Those without the confines of Japan are infinitely curious about what it's like to be black in Japan. Here's the truth about being black in Japan. In this documentary, we share the experiences of ten black individuals who occupies different roles within the Japanese society. Four of them are educators, two are businessmen, one is a Post-Grad Computer Science student, another is a Disc Jockey, another a Jiu-Jitsu Practitioner and finally an I.T. Freelancer. The Black Experience Japan seeks to share the unique experiences of each of these individuals as they live within a very homogeneous Japan. This documentary (Borderless Love - I'm Married to a Japanese 2018 Documentary) focuses on interracial marriages in Japan, specifically marriages between a person of African descent and a Japanese person. We wanted to find out more about this relationship dynamic. What are the unknowns of this dynamic, the challenges, and the benefits if any? Our goal was to shed some light for those who are interested in walking a similar path, but also to provide insight for anyone who was curious.
